Carriage House

Inside interior designer Shaynna Blaze’s striking country Carriage House.

At the bottom of Sutherland House’s garden, where a rusty corrugated iron shed once stood, Shaynna Blaze designed a striking two-storey studio known as the Carriage House. The bold black two-storey studio stands in stark contrast to the restored heritage home, while also subtly honouring it. “The inspiration for the Carriage House was the shed at the back of the property filled with cobblestones which have wear lines from where the wheels of carriages have been,” explains Shaynna.
